Most of the railroad relics are kept in the entry that was the waiting room. There are railroad lanterns, photos, a railroad crossing sign, and other items.

Dr. James Maxwell Ware was a doctor in Mink, Texas. One of the cases is filled with his instruments, books, pictures. He called on his patients on horseback and his saddle hangs by the display case. He moved his office to Magnolia when the town moved up by the railroad.

Grogan Cochran Lumber Company came to Magnolia in 1924 and was in operation until 1960. Quite a few lumber company items are displayed, including a time clock the night watchman used, coupon books that were used as money in the store, pictures, and old ledger.

Miscellaneous memorabilia from the town of Magnolia is in one case, including ration books from World War II. A church bell that hung in the original Baptist Church at Mink, Texas, farming tools, railroad tools, a permanent wave machine, are displayed in various areas of the museum - some hanging on the wall.

We feel it is worth while to visit the museum. Even though it is small, it contains a considerable amount of history about Magnolia, Texas.
